Keep details sharp
Leaf shape, markings and stem structure help separate similar plants.
Varieties, young plants and damaged leaves can be difficult to distinguish from one photograph. If the first result is uncertain, try a second photo from another angle.
What can RadixPlants identify?
The identifier compares your photo with the 39 common houseplants covered by our care library, including familiar vines, palms, succulents and foliage plants. It looks at visible traits such as leaf shape, markings, stems and growth habit. Rare species and some very similar cultivars may fall outside its scope.
Can one leaf be enough?
Sometimes. A sharp leaf photo can reveal shape, veins, colour and texture, but the whole plant is more useful because its stems and growth pattern provide extra clues. If you only have a cutting, show the front and back of the leaf and where it joins the stem.
What happens after identification?
Each confident result links to the matching RadixPlants care guide. There you can check light, watering, humidity, soil, pet safety, propagation and common problems instead of leaving with a name alone.
What if the result is uncertain?
